15, 972 people can’t be wrong!  These followers have already discovered today’s Friday Find – the Nerdy Book Club.  This online blog is dedicated as a space for all types of book lovers – librarians, teachers, authors– to share their thoughts with others who are also passionate about reading.  Four facilitators maintain the blog – Donalyn Miller (teacher and author of THE BOOK WHISPERER; Colby Sharp (3rd grade teacher);   Kathryn Sokolowski (5th grade teacher); and Cindy Minnich (high school English teacher).  A parade of thoughtful guest bloggers contribute musings on their reading lives, new books, books published longer than 18 months, ways to promote the love of reading, and “top ten” lists of book-related things.

Since 2011, the blog also acknowledges the winners of the coveted Nerdies Book Awards.  Nominations and voting for these awards occur in December, and the winners are announced on the blog in late December.

Take a look at the Nerdy Book Club to share the sense of the sheer joy of reading expressed with each posting.  To join this spirited group of book bloggers, submit the Google doc found on the website.   Questions or feedback about the site are welcomed at nerdybookclubblog@gmail.com
