About
The mission of the AASL Blog is to:
- Promote the initiatives of the AASL,
- Offer current information about issues relevant to K-12 library management,
- Support the professional development of school library media specialists,
- Provide an RSS Feed for AASL press releases and other information announcements through the blog.
Blog posts can be searched by keyword and/or category.
Bloggers must be members or staff of AASL. Volunteer bloggers are recruited from the AASL membership to report on AASL/ALA programs and other conferences of interest to the AASL community. Officers and Committee Chairs are invited to post information about current activities and accomplishments of the Association.
The blog is an AASL-sponsored online format for providing news and insight on issues relevant to the K-12 school library community at large.
Lively opinion and commentary are welcome in blog posts by AASL volunteer bloggers and comments from readers.
Blog content will include much more than just Association news, events, etc. We will also have reports from non-ALA/AASL conferences that address issues relevant to school-library-land.
Readers are encouraged to post comments in response to specific posts with commentary, opinion, and and additional information.
- Responses may be moderated by the blog managers.
- Spam, flaming, personal attacks, and off-topic comments are not permitted.
- AASL reserves the right to delete or edit any comment.
